“...Moonshadow, a creation of Jones-Clayton Construction, recently won the “best of show”, “Best Architectural Design”, and “Best Landscape Design” in the nation’s premier luxury home show, the Street of Dreams, which was held at the Sanctuary at Lake Butler Sound in Windermere.
According to Rial Jones, President, Moonshadow demonstrates the ability to translate a favorite Florida design theme within the unexpected context of an old European English Tudor style design. The home displays innovative design skills; state-of-the-art construction techniques; fine custom finishes; and authentic architectural detailing replicated from historical landmarks throughout the world.
French Country charm and details are the hallmarks of the Moonshadow, the 6,161 square foot residence which features a unique “bridge” over the pool that meanders beyond the courtyard. A double island gourmet kitchen boasts a walk-in pantry, separate breakfast café and private dining terrace that adjoin the family room overlooking the gardens and pool.
The master suite features a double-sided fireplace and private entrance to the courtyard pool. The elegant master bath, fashioned after a luxurious European spa, exhibits a sunken Roman tub by the fireplace, his and her water closets, steam shower, and sauna room, a walk-in shower overlooking a private garden, as well as an exercise room and morning bar. An elegant wine cellar is accessible from the formal dining salon that opens to a private terrace. The two-story library completes the first floor.
Architectural artifacts salvaged from renowned landmarks and castles in Europe have been incorporated throughout the home. The home also exhibits fine custom finishes and elaborate elements including intricate stone and tile details, carved wood moldings and antique iron accents throughout, which lend a layer of authenticity to the old world European theme.
A circular staircase winds to the second floor which features a loft/study and two bedroom suites. From the game room, a pool bridge leads to a guest apartment with a second story studio suite. There is also an attached two-car garage and detached one-car garage.
